What is Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure?
Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure is an unforgettable train journey celebrating the Hogwarts Express™! Guests will start their journey at a pre-boarding experience, where they will have their own Platform 9¾™ moment before stepping aboard the real moving train. On board, guests will experience the magic of the Hogwarts Express™ with high energy activities, house celebrations, and surprising encounters that celebrate iconic Hogwarts Express™ moments.
How long will the experience last?
The entire adventure will last roughly two hours. Guests are welcome to enjoy the pre-boarding experience, before departing on a one-hour train ride, and then de-board in the same location for a post-ride experience.
Will I be able to wear my house pride, robe, and bring a wand on board?
YES! Fans are encouraged to wear their robes and sport their house pride while partaking in this adventure.
Does the event include unique retail, food, and beverage?
The event will have unique Harry Potter™ offerings to take part in before and after the train departure. This will include Butterbeer, exclusive merchandise, and themed food and treats.
Where does the train go?
The train follows a point-to-point route through the neighborhoods surrounding Perris, CA. This route includes several changes in direction that are incorporated into the one-hour onboard presentation.
Will the event take place if there is inclement weather?
Trains will continue to run in various weather conditions including heavy rain. However, trains may be canceled or postponed at the Southern California Railway Museum’s discretion due to weather or operational considerations. Please visit our social pages for updates.
Are pets or emotional support animals allowed on board?
No. For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets and emotional support animals are not permitted on for Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure. Only trained service animals are permitted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and California law but must stay clear of the aisle and performance areas as all times during the performance.
